Don't panic! Most of the rules listed here are to protect Santamakers and to give us legal right to ban spammers. Truthfully, there are only a few items here that are worth noting to our long time members.
Those items are listed in red at the bottom of this post.

General Post Content

* The Santamakers Guild offers this forum as a free service. Our mission is to connect, inform, share and offer support to both Santa Maker's and Santa Collector's from around the world.

* In order to have a photo album in the Santamakers Photo Gallery you must first register with this forum THEN register on the Photo Gallery site. Your username must be the same for both this forum and the gallery. This is to help avoid confusion and risk of your photos being deleted by mistake.

* The Santamakers Guild and/or it's administrators/managers will not be liable or responsible for any content posted on this forum, this includes any items members may offer for sale or trade. Individual Artists/Members will be solely responsible for any disputes concerning selling, purchased or traded merchandise.

* By joining the Santamakers Community Forum you automatically accept all rules and disclaimers listed within.

* Members may not post obscene, threatening, invasive, inflammatory, sexually explicit, unlawful, or racially/sexually/ethnically discriminatory content on the Santamakers Community Forum.

* Although the forum is set up to help Santmakers promote their work/business. Spamming and excessive cross posting of a website or business in numerous forums is grounds for suspension or permanent deletion of your account.

* Respectful disagreements with other posters are fine. Rudeness, disparaging remarks, insults, and any other manner of flaming are not. Such offenses are subject to permanent ban at the discretion of the moderators and admins. DON'T DO IT.

* Language: Basically, if it isn't allowed on network TV, it isn't allowed here. The forum word filters will work with some words but be careful what you post! After all, we are a Santa cCaus forum and children are drawn to Santa and probably this forum.

* NO HOTLINKING! DO NOT link to pictures or graphics that are stored in someone else's web space without their Explicit permission! Use only photo storage/display sites, such as Photobucket or the free storage supplied with this forum to supply direct links to pics.

* Staying On-Topic: We don't go crazy over this if tangents are not too frequent. Debates should focus specifically on the theme of the individual thread at hand.

* The Board's administrators and moderators reserve the sole right to determine when content falls into the above categories.

* All members are always solely accountable for the content they provide. Neither the Santamakers Guild or the Forum Administration may be held responsible for the inappropriateness of any content provided by any member.

* Members may only include one image in their signatures and may include art and craft related links or addresses in their signatures/banners.

* Sig size are to be no larger than 150 x 450 or100 x 500 pixels. Be kind to our members with slow internet connections!

* If you have a website, you can add the link in your profile! When members view your profile
your website link will be visible!

* The administrators & moderators of the Santamakers Guild, Message Board & Photo Gallery reserve the right to remove, edit or move any content for any reason. They will monitor for and remove inappropriate content on a best-effort basis.

* The administrators & moderators of the Santamakers Guild, Message Board & Photo Gallery reserve the right to permanently or temporarily revoke any level of Board access for any registered member at any time. Failure to comply with any Forum rules and guidelines listed herein will subject the member to such penalties.

Sigs & Avatars

*Sig size are to be no larger than 150 x 450 or 100x500 pixels . Please cooperate, it really slows the board down for some members on slower servers when they are large. Also links in sigs must be related to your craft business or art supplies. No linking to online affiliate accounts such as Amazon! If you think you fall into this group but are not sure then PM the Admin or a Mod first.

*If sigs are larger than the specified size, we will PM you once, and if they aren't down within a reasonable time, we will remove them ourselves.

* Avatar size is limited to 140x140 and may not contain any obscene, threatening, invasive, inflammatory, sexually explicit, unlawful, or racially/sexually/ethnically discriminatory content.

* Members may only include one upload in their signatures.

* Use only photo storage/display sites, such as Photobucket or the free image storage supplied with this forum to post direct links to pics. If you want to post a pic from a site you've found, save it in your storage/display
site, and then link to it from there. This practice may help to avoid usage and performance issues. DO NOT link to pictures or graphics that are stored in someone else's web space without their Explicit permission!

So, in a nutshell....

• One image per sig. Sig sizes are to be no larger than 150 x 450 or 100 x 500 pixels.
  
• Avatar size is limited to 140x140
  
• Web addresses or links in sigs must be related to your craft or craft supply business.
  
• No links to affiliate sites. (Such as an Amazon bookstore)
  
• No hotlinking images!
  
• Santamakers Photo Gallery requires a seperate registration. You must FIRST register with this forum THEN register on the Photo Gallery site. Your username must be the same for both this forum and the gallery. (This is to help avoid confusion and risk of your photos being deleted by mistake).
