Trying this again... Again...
Hello All!!
Had a few minutes today and I am doing some updating on many things including my website and visiting here! There are so many new artist and so many former friends that seem to drift in and out!
For those of you who don't know me, I was very active on the site a number of years ago and then as many before me... got busy with other things and was pulled away. My sculpting went from about 10 pieces a year to 1. I own my own marketing/promo sales business and that (along with a marriage, dog, house purchase...) got everything off balance. I am working hard this year to regain some balance and get some time in the studio. I am also planning to do some blogging about studio time and get some pieces back out there for sale this year.
If anyone is on twitter, I am ClausMaker if you would like to follow. The main website is www.thegrandfatherclaus.com and I will soon be making a facebook fan page as well. I hope to actually blog and post photos following a piece from start to finish. I intend to start him in march. The updates will be posted on all of the above.
I look forward to getting active on this site again as well. I am sure all will be a weekly or even every other week thing with the rest of life always pulling me away- but frankly, I need a new couch and some spending money to fund both sculpting and quilting now as well! So must be a busy bee.
Take care everyone and eager to get to know all and help where I can!! Warmest regards to all! Lisa Gapen

Re: Trying this again... Again...
OMG Lisa, long time no see! It's nice to see you pop in. We have lots of new members but not alot of posting going on except for the regulars, (you know who you are). Patty has been in a pretty bad way and she has been in recoup mode. She posts to let us know she's coming along slowly and getting better. I kinda try and help her out as much as I can to keep things going, as do the other members. It's great to see you here again. I know what you mean about not working on a whole lot. Money is pretty tight here too. Hope the economy picks up soon so I can get back to some serious sculpting. Don't be such a stranger! We have loads of fun just gabbing. Huggs Paula

Lisa, it is very nice to meet you! Life often pulls us away from the little things that we enjoy but sometimes have to put on the back burner. We savor the moments when life gives us free time to do the things we like to do the most. Once you get some free time, it will be nice to have you around with the rest of the gang here. Poke your head in whenever you get the opportunity.

Lori

Hello
Lisa,
I am new here, but I have found out that this is the place to be. Everyone is very helpful when you have questions and their posts are so funny sometimes. We all need to laugh more often while we are helping each other. So, welcome and don't be a stranger when it comes to popping in to say hi.
God bless,
MagicElf Kathy

Re: Trying this again... Again...
Thanks again everyone!
I posted some new pictures on the website- it is a work in progress but will soon look the way I want it.
One of the things I plan to do is create a piece from start to finish with photos and possibly video to share some of how I go about creating. The site has an RSS feed so if you have a reader you can get auto updates on the new posts. I will also be posting updates top Twitter (clausmaker) if you play around with that. Just trying to see how much the web can continue to be utilized by the art community!
I am heading on a quilting retreat for 5 days!! Hooray- catch up with everyone when I get back. Lisa

Nice site. I find very beautiful creations.
And I have years with many creations.
And then with very little.
This has almost everyone.
