Been away awhile
Sorry I haven't posted in awhile. But, I have been lurking and watching what has been going on. Lori and Regi seem to be very busy. I am over whelmed by all of the work.
I haven't posted for a while cause things have been crazy around here. Peggy had to have neck surgery from a wreck see was in about a year ago. She has healed up fine from that. The thing I would appreciate you guys praying for is that she has to start treatment for overian cancer again. It has come back, but it is a very small spot and they think it will be no problem to take care of, but she still has to go through six treatments, one every three weeks. So, if you guys would keep her in your prays I would appreciate it.
Here are some pic's of a few things I have been working on. A withch, a couple of santa's, an elf, a frog I am working
on the frogs rider.

Re: Been away awhile
Darel, my dear friend,
Your wife, Peggy, has my prayers sent her way for a speedy recovery from her surgery and for the cancer treatment. The one thing I have learned over the years is that the man upstairs does not give us anymore than we can handle at any one given time. Rest assured, He knows what He is doing; though we may not always understand His divine plan, we must have faith in knowing that he will guide us in the direction He wants us to go. But, Peggy definately has my prayers and healing thoughts. I will pray for you too, Darel, as I know how hard it is to continue to be strong when our loved ones need us the most. Things will be right soon as you know it and these small trials will be behind you both.
As far as your projects go...holy cow! You have done quite a bit while you have been lurking in the shadows. That witch is splendid! I LOVE her character. And that motorcycle, that is a hoot! Did you make the motorcycle? The pumpkin on the front just sells the piece alone and she is the shoein! Fantastic.
The Santa's are wonderful. I love their faces. The expressions are perfect. They will be absolutely wonderful once they are dressed and ready for the Christmas festivities. And, your little frog...if that thing was painted I would swear it was a real frog sitting there as the sculpt is wonderful.
You are an extremely talented fella! I'm very glad you popped on here to show us what you have been up to lately. You have been missed for sure, but it is definately understandable with all you have been dealing with. Please send my best to your wife, Peggy, and again, let her know she has my prayers.
Take care, my friend,
Lori

Re: Been away awhile
Lori,
Thanks so much. You don't know how much we appreciate the prayers. I have all the confidence in the world that we will come through this just fine, it is just good to know that people are praying.
Thanks for the nice compliments on the art work. I will post more as it is finished.
And by the way, I loved your witch also. She looks great. Have you made many witchs?
It is the first one I have ever done.
Thanks again.
Darel

Re: Been away awhile
You're welcome, Darel. I'll be looking for your finished pieces. Do what ya can as time allows for it. We all understand, I can promise you that.
And, thanks about my witch. She was my first one I have ever done. I admit, she was a lot of fun to do and will more than likely do more in the future. After all, variety is the spice of life! hehe Seems we were both a couple of first-timers.
