First Santa Ornament of the Year

Post  btinsley785 on 8/4/2009, 18:52

Here is my first Santa of the year. All comments are welcome. He is 6" long by 1" wide, carved from basswood and painted with acrylics.

I can't remember where I first saw this technique, but I though I would give it a try. Turned out pretty well, but I need to hone my painting skills. Smile

Hey Bob, Nice Santa. I just finished a 12 week carving class for beginners. I injoyed it but it was a lot harder for me to do than sculpting in clay.
