ROLL CALL!!!! I have had one of my great grandmother's sayings ringing in my ears lately. "You never find the time...you have to make the time" Well....I think we need to find some time peoples...LOL!! What have you been up to lately? Any sculpting........whittling....doll making.....felting? Nosey ummmm I mean inquiring minds want to know. Besides, it's getting close to Santa time and that means some of us will be working on the jolly ole elf so come on back....let's keep in touch.....today it's simple.....just give a hollar!!!!

I've been sidetracked...sideswiped???...way too long. I've never really wanted to quit. Just got tempted quite a bit. Anyway, I hate to say that I'll be working on a Santa again because everyone's heard that before. BUT! It is my intent..............................

I'm still here.and I'm sorry I dont log in more often. Its just I've had computer trouble most of the summer.and still do. Im barrowing my sons lap top right now...
I go up and use the Internet cafee at our hospital once a week .. But do not have access to my book marks on those computers .. So its hard to remember to log into this site..That is the one thing I miss about the old group.. if you posted a message on the board we would all get a notice in our email... I do manage to check my e mail a couple times a week....maybe Santa will bring me a new computer for Christmas LOL... I havent been working on any santas but Im busy getting ready for our local festival of tress which is in a couple weeks.... they have asked me to make wreaths and garlands for their raffles... the season is here and I'M NOT READY LOL

Hi, I'm new to this forum and group so I'm still trying to find my way around. I see some fabulous creations! I hail from all over, literally as I was a former Army brat and former Navy wife. Now I am attached to a HS principal who will take me away to Oregon when he retires. I've been making Santa pieces of some sort or another since about 1987, whoa, 23 years? Well it's been an evolutionary process that got sidelined as my children were growing up, divorce and then remarriage and moving to Utah. Now that all the chickies are grown and raising families, well at least a couple, I've jump started my Santa making and am in a full time mode, between watching babies. I look forward to getting to know everyone here and seeing all the wonderful work done.

I've been keeping myself very busy. I entered the Arizona State Fair with a sculpted soccer Santa that my 5 year old grandson requested for himself. To my amazement it won Best in Show. I was told there was a lot of interest in my work and asked to demonstrate sculpting at the County Fair in April. After the holidays and my kitchen remodel I will start working on ideas for that.
