I'm New from Canada
Hi everyone. I'm new to this forum. I have been dollmaking for many years but just started making life size santas last year. I didn't realize there were so many other santa makers out there. I am looking forward to talking to you all and viewing your photo galleries.

Re: I'm New from Canada
Hello from Florida, Sherijane!
It's very nice to meet you. Sorry it has taken so long to respond to your posting. Things have been a little slow in this neck of the woods with everyone trying to beat the heat. haha Perhaps they will pick up again once we get over the July hurdle. I look forward to seeing some of those fabulous life-size santas of yours. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me and I'll help you as best I can.
Big hugs,
Lori

Re: I'm New from Canada
@ Regi! LOL
@ Sherijane....we are the few..the proud....the uhm...yeah, those guys that make Santa's. Thank you for such a lovely compliment on my work. Very nice of you indeed. I admit, I tend to make more fairies than Santas, but the big jolly guy has a special place in my heart. He is where I got my start in doll making. So, each year, I do make a few to celebrate where I made my beginning. I guess in a way, it is a tribute. haha Though, I am thinking on incorporating the jolly fella himself into my current style of fairy. I haven't quite figured how I'm gonna do that just yet....but, I have the wheels turning. Perhaps, I'll come up with something delightful if I can have the time to accomplish it. hehe We will have to wait and see. At the moment, I have a ton of irons in the fire and I have some catching up to do. haha You will learn, this is nothing new for me. At any rate, I'm delighted you have joined the forums. It is good to see some life back in here again. I was getting tired of seeing
---> <------ Yeah, those things floating by. I look forward to seeing your wonderful creations! I'll be looking for them.
Big hugs,
Lori

Re: I'm New from Canada
Sherijane,
I believe in order to get access to the gallery area, one must be approved by Mountain Elves and requires a certain number of postings in the forums. Though, I am not certain on that. I would try to send her an private message and see what happens of it. Be patient cause some times it takes a little while before being able to post.
Hugs,
Lori

Re: I'm New from Canada
Yeah..I do believe Lori is right on this. Seems I remember (running around) trying to figure out how to post pics and had the same issues. Of course, I'm a bit of a dingbat well not to computer literate so I thought it was just me...hehe!! Hey...Lori came to my rescue then too. What would I do without ya Lori...^_^
Sheri...I'm so excited to see some of your work.
Hugs,
Regi

Thank for your nice compliment.
I call them trolls, goblins, kobolden.
I am now make a Santa Claus with four little elves.
I work very very slowly.
I am also still working for four contests.
And I should only show them, when the contest is open.

I use Formo clay. This dries in the air.
Often use as a base Apoxie clay. This has two components, which is very hard clay.
Apoxie is very powerful.
