I do not know if it works with the photo.
But surely one WIP of my Santa.
The idea is that there are four elves to come.
And there is still much work to do.
I want for Christmas that Santa is finished.

Fortunately it is not so hot.
It rained all day yesterday and today, joy. W.I.P. Santa 313583

Now the PC off and I'm going to work. W.I.P. Santa 519156
Have a nice day everyone.

I doubt whether I make the beard of clay.
or with white Tibetaans lamshaar, beautiful.

I do not understand completely.
It's hard for me to follow English.
The shorter the sentences, the better the translation engine is Google translate.

Also I make the clothes from clay and this makes everything much thicker.
I do now five elves.
An elf with a bottle opener, a bottle of beer open it.
An elf who spends his boot.
An elf sew a hole in his sock.
An elf who brings a boot away.
An elf who brings his slippers.
This idea I got to seeing the pictures of Santa's Coca cola advertising.
So much work to do. W.I.P. Santa 813750

Ineke....this piece is going to be amazing!!! I am working on some of my Santa designs for this year too. I want to do one of Santa and one elf.....the elf putting tobacco in Santa's pipe.

SO happy that we are all chatting in here again. I have missed everyone.

You do not feel embarrassed.
I also like late reactions.
You should not feel obliged to respond.
That is not good.
And I knew you would react.
I was confident.

Thanks for your nice compliments for my Santa.
I good idea make Mrs. Claus. W.I.P. Santa 321201

Nice job on the coat, Ineke. :-) I'd say your Santa man is looking dapper these days. Very Happy He is going to be wonderful once he is finished. I'm guessing you will be working on a hat next? Or will he be without a hat? Either way, he is very charming.

Thank you Lori and Darel.
A little further.
Yes, I give him a Christmas hat, i think.
The elves have change of the original idea.
But I still keep it as a surprise.
The beard and the hair is difficult to make of clay.
Like an honest response. unsure

Ineke, You are right hair is hard to do in clay, but his is looking great. I like the long beard better than the short one. Not that there was anything wrong with the short one.
I can't wait to see what you do with the elves!
If you don't mind me asking, what kind of clay are you using?
Please keep us posted as you progress. Great work.

Thanks.
I use clay Formo. This clay dries in the air.
The great thing about this clay is that you can slowly build up the creation.
That's actually my way of working. Also, the clay is very soft and fibrous.
